Kreeda Gilli Danda
This is an iconic traditional game played outdoors. The Danda (stick) is used to tap the Gilli (peg) to get it airborne, and then used to hit it far, far away.
The Stick and Peg Game
A game played with a stick and a peg; this outdoor game requires remarkable hand eye co-ordination. This Kreeda version has smooth edges and rounded corners making it more child friendly. This is a team game requiring a good deal of outdoor space. There are references to this game in the Mahabharata and in the childhood of Krishna.
Parental supervision is required in young children.
